This is a Summary (112 Pages) of the USC Report. For the Original Full Report (490 Pages) see: /USC-Report
The USC Office of Research has reviewed allegations of Research Misconduct on the part of Dr. Hao Li and Pinscreen which was initiated on July 11, 2018, when USC Vice President of Research met with Dr. Iman Sadeghi (Introduction, USC000002). USC Research Misconduct Investigation Committee has analyzed Hao Li's university laptops and hard drives (Att. 9, USC000408 and Att. 10, USC000413) as well as the software code which was used during Pinscreen's ACM SIGGRAPH Real-Time Live (RTL) 2017 demo (Att. 11, USC000420).
The Committee finds that Hao Li “falsely presented his research in an abstract submitted to, and in a presentation at, SIGGRAPH RTL 2017” (Committee Findings, USC000012) and “recommends findings of Research Misconduct.” The Committee has reviewed the reponses of Hao Li to the draft investigation report and holds its findings (Investigation Summary, USC000013).
